| This outfit consists of a top, trousers and swing jacket, accessorised with a pendant, cummerbund and brooch. The garments make use of the satin and crepe sides of a crepe-backed satin, overlaid in places with a cobweb-patterned lace. The accessories are appliqued silk dupion scraps overlaid with free motion machine embroidery. The shapes used in both the jacket and the accessories were inspired by the art of the Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest in their woodcarvings, particularly totem poles. | ||
